Berkley Power Vibe Review

berkley power vibe review

Berkley is certainly at the forefront when it comes to pre-rigged baits and rigs in all of the fishing industry. And the newest addition to their lineup is the called the Power Vibe.

I think this is one of the coolest and most unique lures that has been released in years, and has me super excited. So let’s break down everything you need to know about the new Berkley Power Vibe.

What is the Power Vibe?

Like I said, this is one of the most unique lures that I have seen in a long time. Essentially, the Berkley Power Vibe is a mix between a Jighead Minnow and a Lipless Crankbait.

It has a very similar shape, profile, and internal rigging as another bait in their lineup called the Power Switch.

But because of the head shape and line tie placement, the Power Vibe also swims just like a Lipless crankbait when you reel or pull it in the water.

So there are a couple ways to think about this bait. It could be a awesome jighead minnow if you want.

Or a super finesse and natural lipless crankbait when you need to cover a bit more water. Or the best of both worlds, making the Berkley Power Vibe an incredibly versatile bait like no other.

Swimming Action:

Sizes

Berkley makes the Power Vibe in 4 different sizes depending on how deep you are fishing and what size baitfish you are trying to imitate.

  • 1.5 in: Comes in a pack of 4
  • 2.25 in: Comes in a pack of 3
  • 3 in: Comes in a pack of 3
  • 3.75 in: Comes in a pack of 2

All of the sizes definitely have their own time and place, but I think the 2.25 and 3 inch versions will be the most versatile and take up pretty much all of my fishing.

If you are a crappie or panfish angler, the 1.5 inch would be great. And if you are targeting pike, walleye, or bass that are hunting bigger forage, the 3.75 would be great.

But for me, the 2.25 and 3 inch is probably all that I will ever use.

Price

  • 1.5″ size: $8.99 (4 pack)
  • 2.25″ size: $9.99 (3 pack)

Berkley offers the Power Vibe in 14 different colors. So wherever you live in the country and whatever baitfish you are trying to imitate, there are plenty of color options to perfectly dial in your presentation.

Biggest Advantages:

Versatility

Because this lure doubles as both a minnow bait and a lipless crankbait, there are pretty much limitless applications for it.

You can shake it like a minnow, rip it like a lipless, yo-yo it off the bottom, pendulum retrieve it, and much much more. So I think the versatility of the Power Vibe is absolutely incredible.

Subtle / Finesse

Of course, the jighead minnow baits are super finesse and subtle, but a lipless crankbait is the exact opposite.

Lipless baits have very loud rattles and swinging treble hooks that can deter bass if they get a good look at the bait or if they are highly pressured.

But because the Power Vibe is silent, soft plastic, and only has a single hook design, it is just as finesse and subtle as a minnow, but has the action and the reaction ability of a lipless crankbait.

Realism

With bass fishing getting more and more popular every year, bass are seeing more lures than ever. So it is getting very important to fish with lures that look exactly like what the bass are eating.

And you can take a good look at the Power Vibe, as will as watch it swim in the water. This thing looks identical to a real baitfish in and out of the water. That realism is a big deal and can often lead to many more bites.

My Opinion

So now that you know all the details and potential advantages of the Power Vibe, what are my personal thoughts?

Well, I absolutely love this bait. I think it is the coolest bait that has been released in years, and I believe that it will immediately become a top fish catcher for those that use it.

Especially because this bait is a new release and bass nation wide haven’t seen it yet. The realism, versatility, and uniqueness of this bait are all top notch.

So in my opinion, the Berkley Power Vibe is a fantastic lure and a must buy for anyone who is interested in a new take on classic, time tested techniques!

Reeling this In

In the end, the Berkley Power Vibe could be a game-changer. It takes the best of a jighead minnow and a lipless crankbait, combining them into one incredibly versatile and effective lure.

With its silent, realistic profile and unique action, it’s a must-have for anglers looking to get an edge on pressured fish.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, the Power Vibe’s ability to imitate real baitfish while offering multiple retrieval options makes it an essential addition to any tackle box.
